From Inverness take the B862 to the little village of Dores, 10 miles (worth stopping at the Inn for refreshments or simply to look at the marvellous views of Loch Ness from here, a perfect spot to take photos from).

At Dores follow the main road that goes up hill on the left all the way to Gorthleck, go to end of Gorthleck village just past national speed sign there is a sign pointing to a wee road off to the right saying...

If you prefer when you get to Dores you can take the B852 that leads you straight on to Foyers along the shores of Loch Ness. From Foyers there are then various ways to Gorthleck
